微孔洞的尺寸效应

Abstract大量的实验表明当材料的特征长度降底到微米量级时,金属材料的力学行为展现出强的尺寸效应。在细铜丝的扭转实验中,Fleck et al.(1994)发现当铜丝的直径从170微米降低到12微米的过程中,材料的硬度有明显的提高。对于微米和纳米压痕实验,随着尺寸的减低,材料的硬度也体现明显的增强(Atkinson,1995;Feng and Nix,2004;Chen et al.,2005;McElhaney et al.,1998;Nix,1989;Poole et al.,1996)。Yang(1990)在颗粒增强基复合材料的实验中发现:随着增强颗粒的直径从165微米降低到4.5微米时,宏观的流动应力得到巨大提高。此外,实验发现(Ehrler et al.,2008;Haque and Saif,2003;Lam et al.,2003;Shrotriya et al.,2003;Stolken and Evans,1998),随着尺寸的降低,材料也将体现明显的尺寸效应。
