AbstractA new kind of radiation instrument to measure gas void fraction in multiphase flow was introduced in this paper. This tool can provide accurate quantitative measurement gas void fraction, regardless of the fluid pipe is vertical, incline or horizontal, and what the flow patterns are. Some examples illustrate the applications of how much the gas void fraction is in a pipe, where the gas comes from oil gas well, and what the gas-liquid flow profile is in highly deviated well.
